Find your way through autonomous organizations

Four reading paths: understand the concept, design an organization, inspect Axiom AO, or evaluate an implementation.

#Understand the concept

Start with the abstract, then read the definition and defining properties. These pages establish what persists beyond one agent session: purpose, organizational identity, authority, work and commitments. The comparisons article distinguishes an AO from an agent, a workflow and a decentralized autonomous organization.

Continue to the taxonomy. Its dimensions describe organizations without implying that one design is universally best. The taxonomy is an Axiom AO proposal, open to revision.

#Design an organization

Read the reference architecture, governance and work cycle. Write a purpose, name the owner, bound authority and resources, and define what counts as accepted work. Only then choose an agent harness and execution environment.

The design guide and first-prototype guide connect these decisions to a local Axiom AO instance. Run initialization only in a dedicated copy of the blank.

#Evaluate the evidence

Read evaluation methods and implementation and validation together. A configuration demonstrates an intended mechanism; a recorded experiment demonstrates only the scenario, version and duration that were actually tested.

Check recovery, observability and audit before extending unattended execution. Follow citations to original publications and distinguish their reported results from our interpretation.
