## An operating system for organizational continuity

Axiom AO — Operating System for Autonomous Organizations — develops an organizational layer around AI execution. It connects purpose, authority, management, delegated work, evidence and continuity. “Operating system” describes this coordinating role; it does not claim to replace Linux or supply an independent model. The project asks how an organization can preserve responsibilities across tasks and sessions while making bounded decisions and keeping their grounds inspectable.


## The template implements a particular model

The owner defines purpose and boundaries. One active manager coordinates a local instance; native workers carry out tasks and reviewers assess artifacts. Python stores organizational state, while client and operating-system controls remain authoritative for real execution permissions. Persistent identity does not make the instance a legal entity. Neither a profit objective nor blockchain governance is a prerequisite of the project’s organizational model. Other organizations may use different management topologies.


## Target stack and delivered prototype

The target stack combines a containerized execution environment, an engine such as Claude Code, Codex or agy, and organizational software with configured behavior. The inspected implementation is a local native-session development prototype described in current documentation as v0.3.0-dev. It uses Python, SQLite and separate native client processes. Container images and automated container deployment are not implemented in this profile. Historical tests support named scenarios, not blanket compatibility claims.


## A public reference for people and agents

axiomao.org presents definitions, proposed classifications, architecture, guides and research for human readers and AI agents. It distinguishes general concepts, the author’s model, implemented mechanisms and version-specific evidence. Proposed ideas can be challenged and revised without rewriting past observations. axiomao.com is a planned direction; this reference does not promise an available SaaS product or managed hosting. The project’s value should be assessed through clear definitions, inspectable mechanisms and reproducible results rather than an unverified claim of historical priority.
